Weekly Vocaloid Music – 31

Simply can't resist the cuteness of Rin and Len wearing cat ears! >w< (Image source: 紅雪)

Welcome to this week’s Vocaloid music introduction segment, DT here as always. With the official release of the Miku Append earlier on Friday producers have been uploading new Miku songs using the Append and a few of them sound very promising to be up on the next Weekly Vocaloid Ranking.

Truth be told the new Append makes Miku sound much more realistic and natural than before, and we can expect many more Vocaloid songs to be created that way (when would news of Len’s new Append arrive?) and for me to introduce in this weekly segment as well.

Without further ado, let’s move on with the song introductions~

Shineba ii no ni (with English subs by rabilince0912) – Kaito

Producer: Dobuusagi

Ever had the feeling when things just seem to go against you? (For example: late for work/school because you miss the bus/train, went to your favorite noodles stall only to find out that the last bowl of noodles have been sold out a minute ago) Then you should listen to this song instead. The title of this song, “Shineba ii no ni” could be translated as “I wish they would just die”, but that doesn’t mean this song has any malicious meaning in it, it simply means for the unhappy and irritating stuff in life to go away instead of spoiling one’s day.

This video above is actually a PV of the original, which both versions have garnered over 500,000 views (PV – 800,000+ views) at least on Nico Nico Douga.

Loose Change – Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Len

Producer: tys-P

Miku & Len songs aren’t very common, but tys-P has done a good job incorporating Miku and Len’s voice in this song with a nice and smooth melody to go along. Especially like tys-P’s work on Len’s rapping part.

Mare Foecunditatis – Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Len

And should you like “Loose Change” then I would recommend that you listen to “Mare Foecunditatis” as well. This song has that soothing melody which remind me of “Loose Change” whenever I hear it.

Keikaku Toshi (Scripted City) – Hatsune Miku

Producer: millstones
Lyrics: Aki

The music of this song is pretty relaxing and the adjustment of Miku’s voice makes this a Miku song that one can listen to on loop for hours. It’s evident that this song is well-liked by many based on the dozen of covers on Nico for this song.

Ronde of the Possible World (with English subs by blacksaingrain) – Hatsune Miku

Producer: millstones
Lyrics: Aki
Song Download (Link as provided by producer)

The lyrics of this song are a play on words, which makes it somewhat mysterious but at the same time the music is so pleasant on the ears that you can’t help but listen to it again after the first listen.

Kuusou Palette – Kagamine Rin

Producer: Yucha-P

Movie: Mujun

This is one of the distinctive Rin songs which caught my attention when it was first uploaded on Nico Nico Douga not just because of the song itself, but also because of Rin’s street outfit in the video. Personally I would love to see cosplays of it and better still, if there’s ever a cosplay version of the video based on the song I would be a very happy Kagamine Rin fan. <3

Fuyuzora Memory – Kagamine Rin

Producer: Yucha-P

Yucha-P’s adjustment of Rin’s voice tends to make Rin sound a bit high on the pitch part at certain points of the song (same with Kuusou Palette), but nevertheless it’s still a enjoyable song to listen to.

And that ends it for this week’s songs introduction, more will be coming up in the next Weekly Vocaloid Music article! =D

DT’s note: And one last thing before I forget, thanks so much for the 50,000+ views on this blog now. =D It sure wouldn’t have been possible without the support of you guys (you, yes you, reading this right now) so thanks again. ^_^
