Welcome to Week 18 of the Weekly Vocaloid Music segment, as usual I am your host DT. Last week we had news from Good Smile Company that they are going to release a 1/7 scale figure of Hatsune Miku and this time round, there’s a more solid feeling to our leek-loving virtual idol (more info on this figure very soon).

Also, something that I have been waiting for quite a few months has finally arrived here, and it’s none other than the 1/8 scale Kagamine Rin and Len PVC figure from GSC, I couldn’t be happier than to add them to my Vocaloid figures collection as a Kagamine fan. :)

Anyway that’s about the news from me, and onto this week’s Vocaloid music then!

卑怯戦隊うろたんだー (Hikyou Sentai Urotanda, with English Lyrics) – Kaito, Meiko, Hatsune Miku

This famous Kaito song, which once stayed for quite some time on the Weekly Vocaloid Rankings, talks about using underhanded methods to win in battles, as opposed to the typically accepted superhero theme of fighting fairly against enemies, which includes backstabbing opponents, running away to recuperate from injuries, and not calling out one’s attacks (as it is a typical anime cliché for the hero to shout the name of his special attacks before actually doing them).

Dancing☆Samurai – Gakupo

This song has a very catchy beat to it and it’s also one of the few nice Gakupo songs around, though people tend to make fun of Gakupo in Vocaloid videos. There’s also a PV of the song made using the MikuMikuDance program as well.

Discotheque ★ Love – Kagamine Len

This is another video with Rin&Len goodness, the story goes about with Rin and Len not knowing each other initially and as Len notices about Rin (and her cuteness =P ), he decides to muster enough courage to place his hand out as an invitation to get to know Rin which of course, Rin gladly accepts. It’s a bright and cheerful Rin&Len song. :D

Gemini (With English and Chinese subs) – Kagamine Rin and Len

Well, Gemini is actually the Latin word for twins as well as being one of the zodiac constellations, which fits Rin and Len seeing as they could be described as twins in a way. A very nice Kagamine song, wouldn’t it be great if you could have another twin who understands you well and comforts you when you are down?

Otenba Hime no Uta (Tomboyish Princess?) – Kagamine Rin

The story of the song describes Rin as a princess who wants to go out to have fun and embark on adventures instead of being a regular princess staying in the castle all day long. She was ordered to behave and stay in the castle but eventually she had enough of it and breaks free from the castle walls and went on adventuring as she had wanted.

That’s about all the Vocaloid music introductions for now, more will be coming later this week as always. ^_^
