Weekly Vocaloid Videos And Music – 5

Welcome to another week of Vocaloid videos and songs, this week I will be introducing songs from the recently released Cherry Blossom Vocaloid Ranking Special, which was uploaded from March 31st to April 6th 9th. (Part 5 finally uploaded on April 9th, the Vocaloid Ranking Special post will be up very soon) The ranking features a list of Top 100 songs as well as Top 3 recommendations from well-known Vocaloid contributors such as cosMo and Yu Higuchi (Creator of the MikuMikuDance program). More information will be given in my subsequent post about this Ranking Special. Anyway let’s get back to the topic of this post. ^_^

Cendrillon (with English subs) – Hatsune Miku and Kaito

Cendrillon is actually the French word for Cinderella, as this song talks about the Cinderella story between Miku and Kaito. However, there’s a dark twist in this story. Will Miku and Kaito be able to live happily ever after? Just watch the video and find out yourself.

Adoloscence (Cendrillon Kagamine Version, with English subs) – Rin and Len Kagamine

It’s the same music as Cendrillon, except the lyrics have been changed for this Kagamine version of the song. Basically the song talks about how Rin and Len used to be close together but as they reach adolescence, they both find that they are drifting further away from each other. However, deep down they still know that they care for each other.

Sakasama Reinboo (Reverse Rainbow, with English subs) – Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Rin

A simple, light and nice sounding song by Miku and Rin in my opinion.

Tsumugi Uta (Spinning Song, with English Lyrics) – Rin and Len Kagamine

A song with a very strong traditional Chinese feeling to it. If you like traditional Chinese music then it’s likely that you will enjoy this song as well, otherwise it’s still worth a try listening to the song.

Double Lariat (with English subs) – Megurine Luka

The song talks about how Luka wishes to spin around better, so as to be able to extend her reach to all her friends. Initally she spins on the spot, but later she spins around and eventually flies in order to get her reach further. Funny and unbelievable as the song may sound, however there’s actually a significant meaning behind the whole song. The spinning represents one’s ambitions and how one would feel overshadowed when others reach further and higher than he or she is. Finally when Luka reaches her goal in the song she looks back and finds that she  has reached a radius of 6,300 km and at a tilt of 23.4 degrees as she reflects on her achievement.

And that’s it for now. Will be continued next week.
